The Ford T-19 is similar to the T-18 except first gear is synchronized. First gear on Ford versions of the T-19 is always the close ratio, around 4:1. |

T19 Transmission Info
I then drug the T19 (which, BTW, is a good bit heavier!) under the Scout and proceeded to install it. This was the fun part. I spent 2 or 3 days under the Scout trying to get that transmission installed! I used the hoist on the rear side of the T19 and then swung the transmission's bellhousing by hand. But it was still a heavy pig. Each transmission unit is approved and signed off by our professional rebuilding team in-house, verifying it s USA Standard. After our standards are met, the kits are assembled in-house to confirm you get the right parts every time. We do not cut corners, we do not compromise. T5, SR4, T170 or T19 Manual Transmission.
